Chronicle 03 - L'Arc~en~Ciel featuring yukihiro

This is a translation of a reprint of an interview that originally appeared in an item published by Sony Magazines. It accompanied the release of ectomorphed works. Familiarity with that album as well as other remixes that appeared on the 1999-2000 era singles is reccomended. This was reprinted for the Box Set of The 15th anniversary in formation. The translation is based on the reprinted version.

BEGIN INTERVIEW

He is already renowned as a remixer. For yukihiro, the drummer, this first L'Arc remix album, ectomorphed works, is an opportunity to discover a new side to their hits and to put the depth of their work on display. Let us obtain an explanation of the importance of each track from the artist himself.

Chronicle 01 - PATi-PATi October 1996 - Seven-Colour Dream Story

This is a translation of a reprint of an interview that originally appeared in PATi-PATi, October 1996 issue, shortly before the recording of True began. This was reprinted for the Box Set of The 15th anniversary in formation. The translation is based on the reprinted version.

BEGIN INTERVIEW

As intensely hot and sharp as he may appear on stage, the vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel is always surrounded by a fluffy yet mysterious air. Now, let us ask hyde for seven wonderful dreams...

---

Autumn

I like this time of year, when autumn turns to winter. Because somehow, human warmth becomes tangible during this season. For example, whenever someone goes out to eat, they'll invite others, saying "Let's go get something warm to eat." I guess I like that atmosphere. It feels nice to sleep, too, you know. Makes me want to spend the whole day curled up in my futon. And I also like the sadness of it. Falling leaves and so on. I think it's kind of romantic, too. What does autumn remind me of?! Uhm.... Bonfires, I guess. I like camping, I used to do it a lot. Bonfires are great to have when it's cold out. Ah, I guess it reminds me of those nights. Oh, and sanma (1). Obviously, it goes with autumn.

Nanani's Other Translations

Here, you will find other tetsu related translations that Nanani has done. Some are L'Arc~en~Ciel pieces, others are solely tetsu or TETSU69, but all fall within this scope. Most have been posted elsewhere, usually because they were requested there, but the version on this site will always be the most complete and least likely to have mistakes and typos.

HERE ARE THE RULES

1)I am not a professional translator, so it is always possible for mistakes to sneak in, but these will hopefully be minimal. These translations are in no way official.

2)NO STEALING! Everything that appears here took a lot of time and effort, so do NOT steal my work!

3)Do not repost these translations anywhere. Ever. Link to this page if you want to, giving out credit when you do so.

4)The translations may not be used for fansubs (in the case of video clips) or scanlations (if I ever do anything scanlateable) without getting my permission first.

Tetsugaku Translation Project

Welcome to the Tetsugaku Translation Project!

This site holds the English translation of Tetsugaku. This English translation was undertaken by me, Natalie Arnold, better known around the internet as Nanani. The site was designed and created by Ilán Terrell.

As of March 19th 2006, this project is complete. Every chapter of the book is availble in English for your reading pleasure. Thank you to all those who helped and supported me along the way.

Before jumping in and reading everything, take note of these RULES :

1)I am not in any way associated with tetsu, and this is not an official translation in any sense.

2)I am not a professional translator, so it is always possible for mistakes to sneak in, but these will hopefully be minimal.

3) NO STEALING! This is a time-consuming project that I am putting a lot of work into, so do NOT steal my work.

4)Do not repost these translations anywhere. Ever.

5) Lastly, please support tetsu and buy the book yourself, even if it's just to look at the pretty pictures inside. Notably, it is available from Amazon.co.jp.
