A new month begins. Joshima wants to go on a pic-nic. With a basket and homemade bentou and sandwiches. So of course they laugh at him. Hitomi jokingly suggests doing a pic-nic at karaoke. More seriously, she has done pic-nic like things, only it was quiet and she and the person she was with sat around reading afterwards.

Then Joshima has a little story from a while ago where the staff and members of TOKIO did a barbecue. Then something exploded! Apparently some bird smelled the food and knocked over something it shouldn't when it swooped in. BOOM! Scary and shocking. And dangerous. The bird apparently survived, it just scared 20-30 people to death.

Then he starts talking about the men's bathroom in the studio. He hints that tetsu should know what he's about to say, since tetsu seems to like the bathroom there, but tetsu is all clueless. Joshima's point : There are ladybugs in the men's room. Everyone laughs. Actually tetsu -has- noticed them, just recently. Joshima sounds all happy that both of them noticed it, and he also says something about the timing of when he and tetsu go to the bathroom.

When asked why they just now started noticing the bugs, the guys say that it was just that there were designs of a strange colour. They just noticed recently that there are black spots on the walls here and there. (Note : I'm pretty sure they mean painted bugs, not actual bugs). Hitomi wonders aloud what, besides the walls, they'd be looking at inside a bathroom. So yeah, there are ladybugs in the men's room.

Then they ask what the women's room is like. They say its plain and normal, but Joshima says they just haven't noticed the decorations. Hitomi is sure that they'd notice if there were ladybugs in their bathroom. Joshima starts pondering what would go in the ladies room if the men's has ladybugs. Much laughing. The girls are sure there's nothing of the kind in the women's room though. It must be just the guys'.

Apparently the men's room also has ice. The women's room doesn't. Nami suggests a possible use for ice, and tetsu goes "Well, there are a lot of things you could use it for..." and they all start laughing. The only thing special about the women's bathroom is the sanitary boxes, which the guys definitely don't have. Oh, the girls have noisemakers in their stalls, but they guys don't. Nami uses the noisemaker, but Hitomi never does.

Joshima then mentions new things you can get for private home bathrooms such as ones that automatically open when you go near. Hitomi says she was surprised the first time she saw one of those. Joshima and Hitomi agree that they don't stay open long enough, so they always feel like they have to hurry when they finish.

tetsu is asked his opinion, but he doesn't really know, so instead they ask him about the toilet he has at home. Of course, he has the automatically opening kind with a sensor. Joshima goes back to the ladybugs thing one last time before the break.

- Break - Mr Travelling Man + CMs -

Fanmail corner!

First, Joshima has a false start so they redo the initial greeting at the start of the letter. Okay. So this is from someone who stayed over at a friend's house recently, and was surprised when the friend casually asked "Who went to the toilet last? You need to close the lid after." They were surprised because this sort of thing is not an issue in their home. They ask if the hosts have ever had a similar experience, about being surprised by what matters or doesn't matter to people.

tetsu says right away that he always closes the lid. He thinks its bad to leave lids open, in general. Hitomi asks "Even for the washing machine?" to which he says it should be closed, especially if there's still water, and same for the bath or anything else. It's just bad to leave open anything that has water. So they've all learned something. Joshima asks why on earth he would know so much, and tetsu explains that he didn't have any great interest in this sort of thing, he just picked up from reading tidbits everywhere.

Hitomi asks what'll happen if you don't close lids. tetsu says that he really can't say he's ever had any sort of disaster happen because he forgot to close a lid, which makes everyone laugh. Seriously though, it's become a habit for him, and now when he goes to someone else's house he feels a bit weird if the sees lids not closed, as if something is wrong. It just looks better to have things closed. He'll even tell people to close the lid when they come over to visit.

Joshima says he has friends who are picky about the placement of toilet paper, which leads them to talk about how to fold up the end of the roll. tetsu says he never does that triangle fold, because to him it means "just did the cleaning". If he were to fold it like that, then he wouldn't want to use it the next time, or something. Nami folds it up sometimes, like if she's in a restaurant bathroom and it had been folded before. As for Hitomi, she usually doesn't, and she doesn't close lids either.

Hitomi has a little story about getting confused and entering the wrong bathroom when drunk. Joshima's done the same thing, so they all laugh over that. Sometimes using someone elses bathroom is disorienting, especially when its first thing in the morning when staying over at a friend's place.

Joshima then tells a story about Calpis (Nani : Yogurt flavoured drink. I kid you not.), dating back to his middle school years. He was at a friend's house, and his friend had two siblings. This friend's mother offered them some Calpis, and he accepted because he was quite thirsty. He started to drink it and was totally shocked! He looked through his glass and was asked if he dislikes Calpis, which was not the case... it turned out he had been served Calpis water, the more diluted version, which was brand new at the time. It was the most shocking event in his life! It just tastes so different.

Next, from someone who has a terrible memory and is having an especially hard time remembering people's names, lately. They were able to get by in school, but now that they work for a living it's becoming a real problem. Do the hosts have any tips?

Hitomi's bad at that too, though she can usually recognize faces. tetsu says the trick is to just not use their name at all, but act like you remember them. Nami says she meets a lot of people all the time, so she forgets a lot too. Joshima says that when its for work, he can usually go ask one of the staff before he needs to talk to the person in question. Sometimes though, the problem is that he has their card but can't remember the person's face. That leads them all to tease tetsu by saying he has a different card for his nightly patrol, one just for the bars. Much laughing.

They try to come up with ways to remember names. Hitomi says she gives people nicknames, usually mean ones, but they're only in her own mind so its okay. Of course, people wouldn't know what she was talking about anyway even if she did use the nicknames.

S-Hitomi's words of thanks~

First, from someone who just got accepted into university. He spent so much time working for it, but now that it's done he hasn't got the motivation to do anything else. Any advice?

Joshima says he can related : When he was 15 all he could think of was wanting to be a Johnny's, and then he got in and slacked off. So its the same thing. Only not. They all laugh. But seriously, he can sort of relate to what it's like to really want something and then lose all motivation once you get it, like maybe when you work hard to save up for something expensive like a car then have no motivation to work once you've bought it.

As for tetsu, he has to think about it a lot. He can't really think of anything, so Joshima asks about hobbies he's felt really passionate about. Like if all the members were to get into something like rajikon (Nani : radio-controlled cars). He's into roller blades right now, and even brought them to the studio! Joshima wants to know what laruku is into these days, but that doesn't get answered.

Hitomi's advice : From now on, instead of a pen, hold your *censored* tightly.

Much laughter... much hard laughter... tetsu wonders if its okay to say something like that on the radio. Joshima thinks they might be laughing too much.

Next : This person describes how every time they go to a salon, during the hair-washing part, they always say "no" when asked if they have any itchy spots. Its because ever since this person was a kid, they thought itching was bad and are embarrassed to admit if anything is itchy. Isn't it embarrassing to itch?

Hitomi says she once answered that question by saying her feet were itchy. The hairdresser just laughed. Nami says she'll say so if anything is itchy, like behind her ears perhaps. tetsu says he's never mentioned an itch in that situation. Neither has Joshima. They ask a male staff member, who also says no. Maybe guys just don't answer that sort of question.

tetsu asks if it has to be on the head, which is the case.

tetsu : Oh, I've said that other things than my head were itchy... You know, as a joke.
(long silence)
tetsu : (innocently) Eh?

Then he clarifies that he'd only say something like that to hairdresser he knows well. Joshima then sounds intrigued, and asks tetsu what exactly he'll say 'besides his head'. He can even write it if he wants. tetsu says he'd ask if anywhere is okay, and then if the answer is yes he'll say... yeah. More laughing.

Hitomi's words : "Are you itchy anywhere?" "Yeah, my cock." (She actually used an older slang for that word, but from the reactions I'm sure its right ^^)

Hitomi laughs that she's getting more and more open on this show, and also that she should try saying that one of these days. Joshima says Nami looks like she's not really laughing, but she insists she is.

Next : From someone who can't be nice to the person they like. Whenever they see this person, they can only think of mean insults and end up making fun of them. Please give them advice.

Nami says she once went ahead and asked directly if a guy likes her. This surprises the others, who say it's awfully 'S' of her. They think she's really brave. Joshima figures it would work if there was already a strong reason to believe the person liked her.

When they ask tetsu, he sounds all surprised then says that of course he's always sweet and nice to someone he likes! Hitomi says that's surprising; she thought he was more of an S, but this makes him seem like an M! He insists he's not an M though. He also says that when someone says they like him, he usually doesn't believe them. He just wonders why they'd say that. Hitomi then pipes up saying "But you'll tell everyone that you like them, right?" just to tease him. He denies this one.

Joshima says he can relate to not believing a confession. tetsu says he knows guys who'll go on about this girl or that girl being cute, even when the girls can hear it. Joshima thinks it works better to call them pretty. tetsu says most of the time he just says something like "She's not that cute," and its suggested that he stop doing that. But, he says he really can't. Besides, he thinks cuteness is more of a personality thing, so he has to meet a girl before he can conclude that she's cute. Looks aren't enough. Hitomi asks what the girls say when this happens, but tetsu doesn't really explain.

Hitomi's advice : Use your mouth more skillfully.

Joshima snickers, then agrees and says that insults are not the thing. They all snicker a bit but Hitomi acts innocent.

Hitomi's words for Joshima : Next time, come draw those ladybugs. (said in a seductive tone)

Drama corner~

Today the guys are improvising. The theme is "In the boyfriend's room"

Start-

Joshima is cleaning his room, which he does every two weeks. Nami criticizes him for that, and yells at him for not cleaning under the bed and so on. Then the vacuum stops and she finds something under the bed : A hair. It's a long hair, so she accuses him, but he claims it's his mom's hair.

The whole thing was done with lots of enthusiasm and Kansai-ben. Much entertainment!

For tetsu and Hitomi, she sounds cuter and he sounds bored, like usual. I guess tetsu has a hard time getting into character for this one. At the end, he says the long hair comes from a wig he has.

Hitomi thinks that sounds really weird, and might be admitting too much. Either way, the guys would be in trouble. tetsu says he -used to- have wigs, and that he'd be able to tell if it was a hair from that. Joshima asks what he'd say if the hair was a different colour, like red or something. tetsu would say it comes from his hair extensions. Joshima says he can sometimes sense if the hair in a girl's room is from another guy, even if its the same length at his. He can tell because his hair is extra fine. He asks tetsu if this has ever happened to him, but tetsu sounds shocked and says no.

Joshima tells a little story about TOKIO in a photo shoot and hair being on the white floor of the studio. It's really noticeable, especially when he has nothing to do but wait in line. Plus the members can usually tell whose hair it is so they call each other on it, like "Hey Joshima, you dropped a hair." tetsu says that happens to him a lot too. They talk about hair and photo shoots and how sometimes he'd be extra active and leave lots of hair and get teased by the others. tetsu says he can look at the floor and go "that's my hair, and that, and that, but that's not.." and so on. It sounds like L'Arc don't leave quite as much hair around as TOKIO do.

- CM break -

Oha corner~

This week, they have to play a speed shiritori game, and its a group punishment. Hitomi doesn't like that! Anyway, they have to get 18 words done in under a minute, and if they make it Joshima will drink. Also, they have to be two character words. tetsu says this is going to make him sweat.

Start! From the "tsu" of tetsu.

tetsu : tsuno (horn)
Nami : nori (seaweed)
Hitomi : rika (science)
t : kasa (umbrella)
N : sashi (difference)
H : shika (deer)
t : kami (hair)
N : mizu (water)
H : zushi ('sushi' in a compound; she didn't think it would count but it does)
t : shio (salt)
N : ori (cage)
H : risu (squirrel)
t : suri (pickpocket) He giggles, probably because he just did the same word backwards.
N : (takes her a looong time) riku! (shore)
H : kuri (chestnut)
t : risu *BZZ* because they've already used it, plus they're out of time.

They had 15, so they almost made it! They all grumble about having to drink the stuff, but kanpai to it because at least they were close. Then they all shriek at how bad it is. Then they eat stuff and mumble with their mouths full. They give it another shot.

From the "mi" of Hitomi :

H : mizu (water)
t : zu?! (Hitomi tells him to do the same thing as last time.) Zushi? (it works)
N : shika (deer)
H : kame (turtle)
t : meka (Mecha, like robots.)
N : kai (shellfish)
H : ika? (squid. Again, its just the previous backwards, so she laughs)
t : kami! (he had to be encouraged to say the same one as before)
N : mimi (ear)
H : Mi... mi... mi... She can't say mizu again, so she panics! Mise? Mise works! (store)

BZZED for running out of time~ Nami says she thought migi (right) would work, and tetsu thought of michi (road). So they were giving her gestures as hints but she couldn't figure them out. They drink again! And cringe and wince. Hitomi wonders who makes these weird drinks in the first place.

- CM break -

Joshima comes in with the usual puns. Then they talk about the game they just played and laugh about it. Joshima says he saw it and thought they were having fun. tetsu asks what the drink was, and its a certain type of tea. Joshima wishes them good luck for next week, and the show ends.

This week was so entertaining! And it made me miss Tokyo so badly, with all the talk about Japanese toilets and Calpis. I hope you all enjoyed it too!

I've been away (in Tokyo) for the past month, and only got back last week. I'm still getting my life in order, but I do have time to catch up on this wonderful show ^_^

Warning : Working from a low quality mp3, error potential increased.

Everyone's been good this past week! Though they tease Nami because she's always genki anyway. She says she's made new friends, so the others applaud. She has girl friends to discuss school and stuff with now. She says they're very mature and easy to talk to, so it sounds good. She also mentions the clubs they're in.

Joshima then asks tetsu about clubs and whether he participated. He says tetsu seems like he never even heard about clubs. tetsu replies that he did hear of them, he just ran home instead. Hitomi cuts in to tell what clubs she did in middle and high school. She talks about her old art club for a bit.

They all end up giggling over one of Hitomi's old stories, then tetsu gets asked if he dances. He actually shocks everyone by answering "yeah, a little." But then he starts saying he can't demonstrate because he's not feeling well that day. Seriously, he has a fever. Uh huh. Hitomi says he's looking awfully good for a sick person.

This leads them to talking about cutting work due to illness. Hitomi says she never has. Joshima and tetsu have, so they tell her she's amazing. tetsu says he sometimes stays home the day after a live because he's sick. Joshima asks him what he thinks of artists who cancel lives for sickness, to which tetsu says they're no good. tetsu himself has done shows even on the point of fainting, or after having fainted earlier. He just bears it and keeps working. He tells the story of when he passed out and went to the hospital around 7 or 8 am, then rested at the hotel a bit and then did the live that night. This would be during AWAKE tour last year. But, he says that except for lives, he's a wimp. In fact he used to skip school for "sickness" all the time.

Joshima says he knew people who skipped school because of rain, or other frivolous reasons, and he never understood why. tetsu says he was ok with going to school in the rain. As they're talking about their school days, Joshima suddenly makes a comment on how this is all ancient history from Nami's point of view.

Nami gets to talk about her friends and their badminton club a bit, but she's forgotten the name of one of her friends so the others say that isn't a friend! She describes them as kinda girly and hyperactive, so Hitomi starts talking that way. Then she remembers : her friend is named Mayuko.

- Break : TOKIO's Mr. Travelling Man, CM -

First letter, asking about Nami and how she says she never talks at school. This person wants to know how that's progressing, and says she is the same way. It's not that she didn't like school or that she didn't have any friends, but she knows there are people in her class who are insulted and picked on. She can't do anything except be grateful its not her.

Joshima asks Nami to compare her situation with this fan's. He says she doesn't have any friends, which sets them all laughing. He then goes on to talk about how he can sort of relate to the kids gettign picked on. Back in middle school, when he was just starting puberty, there would be lots of 'teasing' going on during cleaning time. Much giggling.

Hitomi says her high school didn't see much teasing. They were a small school with small groups, so it would be nearly impossible to single someone out. She's still in touch with lots of good friends from there, and one of them got married recently, and another had a kid. Joshima sounds a bit surprised, but reminds himself that this is about right for people Hitomi's age. Nami sounds quite a bit more surprised though, letting out a squeak.

Joshima then goes on to talk about strange phone conversations with the people at work, like how he'd just talk to the secretary instead of asking to talk to whoever he was actually supposed to speak to. That's because he was still young and new to things, and this was all before the days of cell phones so you couldn't call people directly as easily. Much laughing at his expense.

Speaking of funny work stories, tetsu has one. It's actually about yukihiro, who went on stage at the wrong time. This was during a show with Acid Android and some other bands too, so basically yuki just went when it wasn't his time. tetsu heard of it from a friend of his who went to that show.

Next letter : From a girl who got a love confession that shook up her life. She got a letter from a guy she used to like over two years ago, and doesn't know what to do because its been so long... and also because the guy's gotten much fatter since that time. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't hate him either. The real issue is that it's the guy she used to like and confessed to way back when. What should she do? She especially wants advice from Hitomi, because she is a fan of hers and swears to always love her, no matter how fat she might get, because Hitomi would probably be cute anyway.

They all hum and hmm over the letter until tetsu points out that this girl is only in second year of middle school, so what kind of dates do kids that young go on? Joshima says that's not the point, and Hitomi says kids these days get started early. tetsu's like "Really?!" then says he suddenly feels old.

Hitomi starts to say something, then stops, so Joshima asks if it's about rapid developments. Joshima used to think high school was kind of early, so how old does that make him? Much laughter. Nami thinks that's kind of young too though, the age of the kids in the letter.

Seriously though, they all feel kind of bad that the guy would get rejected because he got fat. She suggests maybe going out on one date, to eat or something, but then not making it into a relationship. Joshima says this is very Hitomi-esque advice.

For some reason they end up talking about hours for drinking and how early its acceptable to go for a drink. Joshima's preferred hours are the earliest, though they conclude that they all drink more than they should. Joshima knows people who drink even at breakfast though, so they really aren't so bad.

- CM break -

S-Hitomi's words of thanks~

Joshima read the intro in a strange voice.

The girl seeking advice says she isn't sure whether she is dating a guy or not. They spend their time off together, hanging out and eating together, but he's never actually asked her out, and they don't hold hands or anything. So, what does it make them, and where is this relationship going?

tetsu asks how old these kids are, but the letter doesn't say. tetsu then says he has no idea, and then forgets what he was going to say. Hitomi says it sounds like they like each other. Joshima says its normal for kids in high school to go eat or see movies together, so it really depends on how close they are. The problem is figuring out how the other person feels.

tetsu says that since saying anything about love might ruin their existing friendship, he thinks it would be better to not bring it up and just keep spending time together. Then they all start laughing.

Hitomi's actual advice : YOU SHOULD HAVE SEX!

Everyone laughs hard at this one. She says she's kidding, but still.

Next : Someone is seeking advice on what to put under "special skills" when writing their resume.

They all agree that it's a tricky thing. When asked, tetsu says that his special skill is recognizing people. He can spot other celebrities even when they're undercover, for instance. And of course he can recognize the other members of L'Arc easily.

Joshima's special skill is the ability to fix his hair without needing to touch it with his hands. He probably demonstrates because there's much laughing and clapping. This was apparently more impressive when he was younger.

Hitomi's last words : My special talent is... getting married.

This surprises the others, but tetsu thinks its a good one. Hitomi says it was either that or her talent with emoticons.

Next : From someone who is in love with the internet. He can find anything on line, so he gets all their music, movies, etc on line. He's even taken to buying useless stuff from on line stores. He asks Hitomi to give him words to snap him out of it.

Joshima says lately he's been fixated on playing with his digital video camera, so he kind of understands. He extols the virtues of this camera for a bit, and gets into stuff bought in on line auctions.

Hitomi's words : If you're a man, try clicking like a girl!

tetsu really likes this one for some reason. Maybe it was the way she said it.

Her last words for Joshima : Why don't you try stealing Nagase-kun's camera?

- CM break -

Monday Drama theatre!

The theme is "On the first date"

The girls will be improvising~

Joshima and Nami start!

*sound of a car starting*

It sounds like a couple at the end of a date. She's giving him directions to her place. They get there and she thanks him for such a good time. Before she can leave, he asks to see her room... She says "Sorry! My mom's cleaning it!"

Cute excuse. Of course she'd say no because its just the first date~

tetsu and Hitomi go. She talks a lot faster, but neither of them has quite as much enthusiasm. At the end, she says : "You come on too weakly"

That one makes everyone laugh hard. The contrast between the two girls is noted too. tetsu says that in real life, no one would accuse him of coming on too weak. Lots of teasing. On second thought, maybe he can. And he says he's heard Nami's excuse many times, too. Though sometimes it was true and he could see the mom waving at the window.

Joshima tells a story about a friend of his, and then the segment ends.

- CM break -

Oha corner~

tetsu reads the instructions in a very tired sounding and whispery voice. But it sounds like he's doing it on purpose. The game is English-Japanese Up Down. They have to count up and down alternating between Japanese and English. If they make it far enough Joshima will take the punishment, and it isn't a group punishment game.

Hitomi : Ichi
tetsu : Two
Nami : San
H : Four
t : Go
N : Six
H : Nana
t : Eight
N : Kyu
H : Ten
t : Juu-ichi *BZZ*

The idea was to count back down once they hit ten, so tetsu is wrooong. He realises his mistake and the girls call him an idiot! Hitomi wants to see Joshima suffer though so she wants to restart the game. tetsu says the rules are that he needs to drink the crap, so he does it. Even though it's terrible. He then grabs a bite of some snack and complains about the punishment drink with something in his mouth. They re-explain the rules to him and he apologises.

Round two :

t : One
N : Two
H : Three
t : Yon
N : Five
H : Roku
t : Seven
N : Hachi
H : Nine
t : Ten *BZZ*

Everyone starts laughing here. tetsu messed up again! Wrong language. Then he realises that this game doesn't have a time limit, so he could take his time and think about it. He drinks the crap again and winces in a high pitched voice.

- CM break, REVERSE -

Joshima comes down for his bad puns~ He asks if the game was too difficult, and tetsu explains that it really isn't. His problem was just that he was thinking it had a time limit. If he took his time he'd be okay. So, Joshima proposes that they play again, only this time they need to count down from 10 and then back up.

H : Juu
N : Nine
t : Hachi
J + H : Seven *BZZ*

It's Hitomi who went at the wrong time, and she says she hadn't realised they were all playing. One more go!

H : Juu
t : Nine
J : Hachi
N : Seven
H : Roku
t : Five
J : Yon
N : Three
H : Ni
t : One.

*BZZ* Much celebrating because they made it! Not even tetsu screwed up! Yay yay yay! The show concludes on this happy note!

2006-04-17.mp3

Another week has come and gone so fast. tetsu says "Hayee na~" (like a slangy version of hayai na, which means fast) and they tease him because it sounded like he said "Hyena".

Nami briefly describes her everyday life; she's in class eight or nine hours a day! tetsu said he didn't have anywhere near that many hours, so Joshima says he must have had lots of red marks on his tests, to which tetsu replies "Yeah, probably." He doesn't really remember though. Hitomi remembers having to take extra classes and tests and so on.

Joshima then comments on how there's no special classes for young celebrities. Hitomi then says that her class had lots of people in it who got famous later, like one of the Domoto brothers (Tsuyoshi to be exact) and some other names I can't place. Joshima is surprised, he thought of the KinKi Kids as being youger than that, but Hitomi assures him that they're definitely adults.

This leads them to talking about how hard it is to guess the age of famous people. Joshima says he always guesses too low when it comes to Gravia idols. When he finds out these girls are in their late teens, he feels dirty afterwards. He asks if tetsu if he agrees, but only gets a surprised EH!?! in response. Joshima goes on to say how odd it is, because when he was a kid 17-18 was so old, but now people that age are little kids to him. tetsu agrees with that one.

Hitomi then asks the guys if they ever cry when watching high school baseball. Joshima says no, and Hitomi is actually surprised. She finds high school baseball brings back a lot of school memories, makes her nostalgic and so on, so she gets emotional when watching it. When its a team from her hometown, anyway. Joshima says he can't relate at all, but tetsu laughs and says he understands. Hitomi says she gets the feeling tetsu wasn't really listening to her, then tetsu mumbles like he's got something in his mouth, then starts going "No, I really am interested. REALLY!" Everyone laughs.

Next, Joshima points out that the girls have exchanged spots compared to how they were seated last week. Hitomi is now sitting next to tetsu, so tetsu says Hitomi thinks he's cooler. Hitomi says "not really" but laughs anyway. When asked, Nami says she'd rather sit with Joshima, and they all laugh. Nami then says she really doesn't mind either way since she likes them both.

Somehow the end up talking about school lunches, and Nami says she usually eats outside alone. Her school doesn't have a cafeteria, which the others think is weird. Nami usually brings a lunch, but a lot of people go to nearby burger places and so on. Nami goes to restaurants alone when she does go to them. There's a cheap Chinese food place nearby that she goes to almost every day. It's not that crowded because most students don't know about it. Joshima is really surprised that Nami is such a quiet, lonesome type at school since she's quite energetic on the show.

Nami then says she talks more with her teacher, and asked the teacher to go to Hanami, which tetsu finds really suspicious. Nami gets embarrassed and says she wanted to organise a -group- outing. Her teacher is a 28 year old man, which makes it even more suspicious. Hitomi gives Nami advice about getting private lessons. Then they asks her what she likes to study in school, and she answers math. Still, she doesn't know what she'd like to study after high school. She says she's an average student, and her best subject is actually English. She gets 80-90 points on tests there. Her worst test score ever was a 40, and it was math. She likes it despite being bad at it.

Joshima says he was bad at math in school too, then asks tetsu about his school subjects. He says he got 100s in physical health class. The others go "Ah of course" then all break out laughing. He says he had practical skills in it too. Hitomi says no way and doesn't believe there were classes like that. tetsu insists its true, and adds that the class was mixed gender.

Fanmail corner~

From a girl who's finishing high school this year. She never wore makeup before, but now that she's going to enter the workforce soon, she wants advice from Hitomi and Nami, and also asks them when they started using makeup.

Hitomi started at age 16 when she started high school. Nami started in her last year of middle school. For Hitomi, this was a little before she started her career. She describes the style of the time, and says it was about 10 years ago. For Nami, it was the same year she started her career, and so that's how she got used to wearing makeup. Before that, she didn't wear any at all. She then says she isn't wearing any right now, and Hitomi is impressed at how good she looks without it!

Hitomi says she started using makeup because she wanted to cover up bad spots. Then we can hear tetsu snickering, and Hitomi asks him what he's laughing at. He goes "Nothing! I had my mouth shut!" but everyone just laughs, including him. Hitomi goes back to talking about makeup. She says there were less cheap brands around when she was first getting into it, so she had to spend a lot of money on it.

tetsu laughs to himself a bit more, then gets a chance to cut in :
tetsu : I started in first year of high school, I think it was.
Joshima : ...wearing makeup?
tetsu : Yep. (laughs more)

Hitomi sounds sceptical, then tetsu explains that it was for lives. They all go "Oooh" and ask what kind of makeup. tetsu says it was "Devil makeup", which makes the others go "WOW" and Hitomi orders him to bring in pictures. He explains what it was like, basically just foundation with other stuff drawn on in eyeliner. tetsu says he did bring in pics last time, which Joshima remembers, but the girls wanna see so Hitomi tells him he has to bring pics. He says the makeup was expensive, and he had to ask help from the lady in the department store for help picking it out. Joshima asks what part of Osaka he was shopping in, but he won't say.

Next letter : Asks about personal quirks for luck, and things they do to avoid jinxing themselves.

Hitomi doesn't think that sort of thing is weird at all. Nami says she probably has some, but she can't think of them. Hitomi's thing is that she always puts her right shoe on first. Then we can hear feet sounds as Nami and Joshima check which shoe they put on first. It's the left for both of them. tetsu doesn't worry about this kind of thing at all. He does however always put his underwear on a specific way, starting with the right side. He thinks the right side is more natural.

Joshima then asks what the first thing they all wash in the shower is. tetsu's is his left hand, Hitomi's is her left arm, and Nami's is her neck. This leads to giggling. They go back to talking about personal jinxes. Hitomi has one concerning where her dog does its business when she takes it out in the morning.

Anyway, next letter is from someone who did a special photo shoot recently. She spent over an hour getting into the kimono. She thinks this gave her a taste of what it's like to be a celebrity, spending so much time getting pictures taken. She asks them about this, and about photo shoots they think turned out surprisingly well.

Joshima asks if the others ever take pictures on their own time. tetsu says no, he never does. Hitomi does, sometimes. Joshima and tetsu, of course, have their pictures taken all the time, and tetsu says sometimes he keeps pictures from work. Hitomi says she has a photo album of herself, some pictures from work, some just normal ones. She loves herself, so she keeps pictures. Joshima takes his own pictures too, and pictures of his band mates too.

tetsu says he just has no interest in pictures. His family didn't take many pictures either. Instead, he had movie posters and stuff as decorations in his room, and there wasn't much to decorate the rest of his parent's house, besides clocks.

Nami says she takes tons of pictures of her dog. She lives alone but has a dog, and loves to take pictures of it. The others think it must be tough on the dog to be left alone so much, but Nami has ways to get it taken care of, and she takes it for walks herself when she can. The dog is a mix of Shi-tsu and Toy poodle. She says it looks like Chewbacca from Star Wars, which makes the others laugh a lot.

S-Hitomi's words of thanks~
Seems it's going to be a regular section after all.

First : From an 18 year old guy who says he is already ageing too much. They all laugh then apologise and Joshima keeps reading. Anyway, seems people think this guy is much older than he really is, so he asks the hosts how they manage to keep looking young. Joshima says he's sorry for laughing at the kid.

Nami is only 17 but Joshima says she seems older. Nami agrees and says people tend to take her for 20, 21 or so. She doesn't seem like a high school girl. However, she doesn't mind this at all, and in fact likes being though of as older. She doesn't want to look young. The letter writer was a guy though, so Joshima makes tetsu talk. tetsu says that when he was that age, people thought he was older, too. He didn't mind though, or rather he didn't care either way. From the sound of the letter, that guy may seem a lot older though.

Joshima then suggests that the guy should adjust his clothes and hairstyle to look young. Hitomi's still laughing at the poor kid. Joshima talks about how he seems much younger than his manager (who is the same age as he is) and how he hasn't changed much, physically. In fact, he looks almost the same as he did 10 years ago. Most guys his age, like this manager for instance, are already married and have kids, which is not the case for Joshima, so maybe that's what ages guys.

Hitomi's last words : Yarimakure! (Nani : I'm not sure... something like "Just Do It"?)

Nami asks what she means by that, so Hitomi says it's for the target audience to figure out.

Next : From someone asking about text-messaging and how to end a text conversation. Sometimes they don't have anything more to say, but force themselves to reply anyway, which leads to a lot of messaging back and forth. What should they do?

Joshima says that's tetsu's department, to which tetsu goes "Eh?" Then after thinking, he says he understands the problem. Joshima explains to the girls how tetsu doesn't answer his text messages. He giggles, and admits that he only answers every two or three messages. It's because once he answers, people message him back again, but he doesn't want to reply so the waits until they message him again, and it ends up taking two or three messages before he'll want to answer. Like, they have to really want to message him.

Nami says she doesn't like text, so she'll just call the person. tetsu thinks this is a brilliant idea and is very impressed with Nami. Hitomi says she answers her text messages right away. Joshima says he answers him, but sometimes it'll just be a smiley, and that's it.

Hitomi's last words : "What they said!"

They all laugh at this.

Hitomi teases Joshima a little as the segment ends.

Monday Drama Theatre~

This week's theme is a common situation : Ex-girlfriends

Nami and Joshima are paired this time. Nami is very enthusiastic!

J : Wow, that was a great movie!
N : Yeah, it was awesome!
J : I've been wanting to see it again for a while!
N : Oh really? How long ago d'you see it?
J : I dunno, a year or something?
N : Aw, you went to it a year ago...
J : Uh, well... It was more fun this time around.
N : Hm, really? Who'd ya see it with then?
J : Uh...
N : With your old girlfriend, I bet.
J : Uh... hm...
N : Yeah, that's what I thought.
J : It's all in the past, now.
N : Can I ask something?
J : Yeah sure.
N : I actually wanted to ask this a while back.
J : What is it?
N : What kind of girl was your ex?
J : She was really stressful.

They both spoke in Osaka-ben! Nice change from before; neither Emi nor Ai ever did. Much laughter as that ends. Nami likes that kind of answer. In tetsu and Hitomi's version, the chemistry is just not there, but its still fun. They just can't act worth a damn :p Anwyay, his last line is : "She was a B-type." tetsu says he can't think of any other answers.

Hitomi's an A type, Joshima's an O, and tetsu's also an A. Joshima says two As would make a good pair, but and A and a B would have broken up, so its realistic. tetsu says he actually likes B-types more. Joshima says an ex-girlfriend at his age matters less, but it matters more for young people like Nami, so he asks her if she worries about that sort of thing. She says she thinks about it but won't ask. Hitomi usually asks about a guy's exes. Joshima says again that tetsu and Hitomi sounded like a realistic couple, like a secretary and her boyfriend out on a date. They laugh, but Hitomi thanks him for the compliment.

- CM Break -

Oha corner~

tetsu sure loves that "Shiri wo dasu" joke. Anyway, the task this time is supposed to build their vocabulary with a word game. They need to go in aiueo order to come up with words that fit a theme. It's a group penalty game, so Hitomi says that really means a tetsu penalty game, and says it's not fair. He denies it and says it really depends on the game and theme. She says he won't last three rounds, and wants him to be the only one punished. She also adds that words like "ah" and "eh" aren't gonna count. He says not to distract him by going "hurry up!" and stuff. They're both going "Fine."

The theme is : Sweet Foods

t : Aisu kuriimu (Ice Cream)
N : Keeki (Cake)
H : Kuukii (Cookie)

*BZZ* before tetsu can even go. He goes HEY! and then Hitomi realises she messed up. She changes it to "Shihon keeki", whatever that is.

Back to the game :

t : Suika (watermelon)
N : *after much thought* Senbe (rice crackers)
H : *complains about it being hard* Chocolate!
She then starts telling tetsu to hurry up, even though he told her not to...

t : Chikuwa no (can't finish cause he's laughing) *BZZ*

The girls apologise for making him laugh, though Hitomi doesn't think the thing he was saying would have counted anyway. She complains about the drink smelling bad, but tetsu just goes "Cheers!" and they drink. The girls shriek, but Nami insists she's okay. The girls think the game is too hard.

Next topic : Place names in Japan

t : Akita
N : Iwate
H : Kagoshima
t : (after several seconds) Saitama
N : Shiga
H : (having lots of trouble finding one) Nagano!
t : Niigata
*BZZ* just because their time ran out, not because tetsu messed up. Hitomi gets blamed by him in the end, and he complains about how group punishments suck. They drink up again~ Much complaining, including an adorable "Badui yo" from tetsu.

The corner ends with tetsu claiming not to be the worst anymore.

- CM Break -

Joshima's puns~ He then complains that the room stinks from the punishment drinks. Nami thinks it was sour apple juice. tetsu laughs at Hitomi for being the worst player. Joshima offers a last match, so she can practise and get better, but she doesn't want to. He admits the time limit was kind of harsh. Nami says she likes that kind of game.

They end up picking up the game again, this time with the theme being Japanese bands.

t : Alphie
J : Karyuudo
N : Sukima switch... (she struggled)
H : (really struggling) Drifters?

They get bzzed before the next round even starts, and it's the girls' fault for taking so long. Joshima says its really different now. The segment ends with lots of teasing.

End~

I kno w I'm not fully caught up, but I don't even have an mp3 of the next one (4/24) but I do have the one after that (5/01). Anyone who can post the 4/24 file for me, or email it my way or something, will be feathered gratefull.

By the way, I'm going to Tokyo for a month starting this Tuesday, and I doubt I'll have time to do much translating, so expect to stay behind in this show for a while yet ^^;

Sadly the file is very low quality and full of static. Sorry for any translation mistakes because of it.

The intro music has changed! Also, there's a lineup change! Ai and Emi are not in the show anymore! They've been replaced by two other girls, Satou Hitomi (actress in TV dramas and movies, including Ringu) and Tamaki Nami (Jpop singer). Joshima and tetsu are still around, don't worry. tetsu thinks the new intro music sounds original, and Joshima says it sounds like it belong on a noontime program. (Remember, this show is on very late at night).

They greet the new girls. Joshima calls Hitomi a princess and introduces her very respectfully. Then he nudges tetsu (tetsu : Eh? Wha?) and tells him to introduce the other princess, so he does : "Eh? Oh. Here's Tamaki Nami-chan."

Nami sounds very cheerful. She's only 17, which makes her the youngest by far. Even though she's technically underage, she says she does like to drink. Joshima asks what year she was born (Apparently he can't do simple subtraction), which is 1988. The guys are like wow, that's recent. Joshima points out that was the year he moved to Tokyo, after graduating from high school. He then asks tetsu what he was doing that year.

tetsu : What was I doing?
Joshima : Well don't ask -me-.
(laughter)

tetsu shows us how his sense of time works by saying "Well if its laruku's 15th anniversary this year... and that's two years before that..." He still isn't terribly sure what he was doing.

Joshima goes on calling Hitomi a princess whenever he can.

Eventually Joshima gets around to bugging tetsu. He asks him what he's been up to lately. tetsu says that he went to do some hanami (Nani : watching flowers, specifically the sakura blossoms, usually in a park full of trees). He went three times, in the day and at night, with some friends. Three people and "one more", like a dog or something from the way he spoke.

Joshima and Hitomi talk about hanami and drinking, though it sounds like they haven't gone this year yet. Joshima points out that on the radio, they don't have to look good, so he could let himself go and gain weight and it wouldn't affect this show. Hitomi says she only goes drinking maybe once or twice a week. She's on a diet right now, and so she doesn't want anyone to take her to any new restaurants so she won't be tempted to cheat on the diet.

Next Joshima asks Nami about her hobbies and stuff. She says that even though she's too young to drive (Nani : the minimum driving age in Japan is 18), she loves bikes and cars, especially jeeps. She has a friend who drives one, and its a woman. The others are surprised that a girl would drive that kind of truck. Nami says her brother has a motorcycle, and she likes those too.

Joshima says that gives her something in common with tetsu, cause he also likes cars. tetsu says he just likes driving, really. Joshima then says to Nami "You'll notice when you come to this studio there's a very special Porsche parked here. It's an interesting colour." Of course, he means tetsu's pink one, and hearing about it makes Nami squee. He goes to describe the inside : its only pink on the outside, the seats and stuff are white. He loves his car, and he loves pink. The only problem is that it can be hard to clean that car.

The segment ends with Nami taking over Emi's old job of announcing the songs and CM breaks.

- Break + song : Mr. Travelling Man -

Fanmail corner~

Joshima cracks up when he starts to read the first letter. Then he tries again, but stumbles a lot : It's a girl writing about her friend's boyfriend. He sent an email early in the morning with the subject line "Birth!", and it contained an attached picture of his own crap. The letter writer's friend laughed a lot, but the writer herself says that if her boyfriend ever did something like that, she'd hate him. She asks the hosts what they think, and adds "You guys would never do something like that, right?"

tetsu says he has friends who do that sort of thing, and are greatly impressed with it. He doesn't understand that at all. Hitomi doesn't have any sort of problem with it at all. Nami's kind of wavering, saying she's not impressed but not saying its disgusting. She ends up saying that if she liked the guy enough, she wouldn't care if he did that sort of stuff. tetsu then asks what if her boyfriend pulled that kind of stunt when her family was around, and she said that would make her sick. Hitomi says she doesn't even mind farts, unless they stink. It's not funny when it stinks.

Next letter : From a girl who went to her boyfriend's place for the first time recently. She saw his room and everything, then they got hungry and the boyfriend cooked spaghetti. He didn't even let her help. Isn't it nice for a guy to be a good a cook?

Joshima says he's cooked with a girlfriend before, though he doesn't say whether he's ever cooked for someone else. tetsu, of course, does not cook at all. Nami doesn't cook either, she can't. She can make some snacks though, pastries and stuff, just not meals.

Finally Joshima thinks to ask Hitomi how old she is. She's 26. The guys are surprised, and Hitomi says she's often mistaken for 20 to 22. Then again, Joshima says he and tetsu don't look like 36 either, only Hitomi's like "Well I dunno..." implying they do look older. Joshima protests that they don't look older than they really are. She does say they look good for 30-somethings. Then she says that when she was a teen, she thought over 30 was practically dead.

The talk switches back to the teenager, Nami. She doesn't want to talk about her school life. She's still in high school, and studies in Tokyo even though she's born in Wakayama, which is in the Kansai region. She moved to Tokyo when she was 14, and her friends are mostly older than she is. She lives alone and doesn't have friends her own age. She says she can make simple foods herself, but that's all, so it doesn't really count as being able to cook. Hitomi says that if she could cook a little at 14, that's already pretty good.

Nami explains that she got to live in Tokyo after passing an audition and getting to debut as a singer. Her song Believe was her first single. Joshima asks about a "Catch copy" (Nani : I think that's a catch phrase? Not sure) but she sounds surprised and says she doesn't have one. tetsu says they've (laruku) never had one either. TOKIO had one, it was used in their ads around the time they debuted. Seems they don't do that sort of thing anymore, so Joshima complains that makes him sound old.

Nami loves to sing, so they ask her about her favourite singers. She likes Amuro-san (presumably Amuro Namie?) a lot. Back to her living in Tokyo, she just changed schools this year, and she doesn't know anyone. She barely talks to anyone, except the teachers when she has to. The others are surprised that she'd be so quiet. She complains about the guys in school being really rude to teachers, and Hitomi tosses in the comment that she bets tetsu was like that in school. He insists he was not. He was more the mysterious type, doing his own thing without bothering with anyone else. Back to Nami, she says most of her friends are other singers, artists, models, etc.

New segment (or possibly a one-shot, we'll see)

Princess S-Hitomi's words of thanks~

Joshima introduces it as the section where they will seriously work to solve the listener's problems, and in the end there will be grateful words for the princess.

First up is a letter from a 19 year old guy. He likes this girl, but she is currently dating a close friend of his. He wants to tell the girl how he feels, but he's afraid of ruining his friendship by doing that, so he can't find the courage to tell her. What should he do?

tetsu thinks the best thing to do is give up on the girl. He says that you can't change how other people feel about each other, but you can work on your own feelings, so he should make himself stop liking the girl.

Nami thinks that if they're really good friends, the friend shouldn't mind if he tells the girls. He should be honest and confess, but tell both of them at once. Then if they end up breaking up, he'll have his chance.

Hitomi agrees. That's all she has to say on the situation, and so her last words are : It's okay if you steal her! They all laugh at that.

Next : I can't understand it at all. Sorry.

Next : From a guy who had a seat on a train and saw an old man standing nearby. He thought he had to give up his seat, but there was an even younger guy sitting next to him so he thought the younger kid should have to give up a seat. He asks the hosts what they think, and also if they give up their train seats to older people.

tetsu : I'd give up my seat, no problem.
Joshima : But you never take the train.
tetsu : Yeah, I always drive.

All laugh at his 'generosity'. tetsu says that although its been over 10 years since he took a public train, he always gave his seat to older people when he did take one, and he'd still do the same thing. He says just recently he was stopped at a light next to a bus and saw some old people standing while younger people had seats, and thought the younger must be rude or idiots.

Nami says she gives her seat up all the time. Her mom used to get mad at her if she didn't, so she got into the habit.

Hitomi's last word : Leave the seat for older people!

Lastly, she has last words for Joshima. Sounds like she called him a dweeb, but I can't really make out the word exactly...

- CM break -

Monday Drama Theatre~

Joshima says it's become a slangy drama theaher (slang = zoku), then tetsu says "zoku zoku" (shivering/shuddering sound effect) and they all laugh. Anyway, this week's theme is : First meeting with a girl. Joshima says it fits because its the first episode with these new members. The guys get to be improvising.

Joshima and Hitomi start!

Hitomi : Irrashaimase. (Nani : hard to translate. It's basically "welcome", but used way more often in Japan, like every single time a customer walks into a store.)
Joshima : Hi.
H : Nice to meet you. I'm Hitomi. I hope we'll get along.
J : Likewise.
H : Are you heading home from work?
J : Eh, I'm done work, but I was going for a drink.
H : Oh? Do you come to this kind of shop often?
J : Well, usually I go somewhere else with my friend...
H : A friend from work?
J : That's right...
H : So what do you do for a living?
J : I'm just a normal salaryman.
H : Is that so?
J : You've been asking so many questions... My turn. *clears throat* Is that okay?
H : It's fine.
J : Miss, how old might you be?
H : You'd ask a woman for her age?
J : Come on, tell me. How old are you?
H : How old do I look?
J : ...Considering your earrings... and... hmm... I've never seen anyone who looks like you.

She yells at him for stalling and sneaking out.

Nami and tetsu go next~ She sounds much more excited than Hitomi, but tetsu sounds as dry as his acting usually does. In the end, his guess for her age goes : Hmmmmmmm~ 18?

She laughs at that. He says he usually guesses one year more than the person looks. It doesn't really count since he knows how old she really is, but still. He doesn't often get into that sort of situation anyway. Joshima says he tends to guess off by three or four years. Hitomi says she'll be 27 this year, so she's actually quite a bit older than she looks. They start talking about how people don't change much once they reach 20, so its hard to tell where in their 20s someone is. They talk a bit more about Nami's high school life as the corner comes to an end.

- CM break -

Nami is now doing the job of introducing the Oha corner, but tetsu still has to read the instructions. He tries to make her misread the script and succeeds.

This weeks game is all about getting to know the girls better by playing a memory/shopping game. The punishment is explained to them too, and they're already complaining that it smells horrible. tetsu says not to worry, it's usually him that's stuck drinking it.

First theme is Flowers! Nami freaks and says she doesn't know any flowers.

tetsu : Bara (rose)
Hitomi : Bara, Sumire (violet)
Nami : Bara, Sumire, Kasumisou (can't find the English name of this one)
t : Bara, Sumire, Kasumisou, Himawari (Sunflower)
H : Bara, Sumire, Kasumisou, Himawari, Yuri (lily)
N : Bara, Sumire, Kasumisou, Himawari, Yuri, Tulip
t : (laughs) Bara... (laughs)... Kasumisou...

Hitomi tells him to hurry up, but he's too busy laughing and going Eh? Eh? as he tries to remember. Hitomi says "sorry, you're just terrible." After several minutes of trying, he gets Bzzzed. Hitomi's amazed and Nami's just laughing.

He wonders if the stuff he needs to drink is healthy, but drinks. He goes BUH! really loudly as the girls laugh and squirm in disgust.

Next : Breeds of Dogs.

t : Boston Terrier
H : Boston Terrier, Shibaken
N: Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua
t : Boston Terrier, (laughs)... Shibaken, Chihuahua... Chin. (Chin = Pekingese breed of dog, but also slang for penis.)
H : Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky
N : Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky, Toy poodle (tetsu can be heard almost snickering every time they say Chin)
t : Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky, Toy poodle, bulldog
H : Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky, Toy poodle, bulldog... Pug.
N : Boston Terrier, Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky, Toy poodle, bulldog, pug, Shizu
t : (starting to panic) Boston terrier.... (the girls laugh) Shibaken, Chihuahua, Chin, Siberian Husky, Toy poodle, bulldog... (more laughing) EH?... bulldog... eeeeeh.... what was it?! (he freaks out) Eeeh?!! SHIZU!! (they applaud) BZZed though because he skipped pug. So near and yet so far.

He drinks his second cup of yucky penalty drink, and the corner ends.

- CM break, Link -

Joshima comes back and makes his puns. So its the end of the first show with the new girls. Joshima asks tetsu what he thought of them, he just says "Eh. I still lost the game." But he adds that they're fun, and maybe he'll end up not losing quite so much. They explain that its possible to do so well that Joshima ends up punished, so there's hope yet. Nami and Hitomi say they had fun too. They sound quite lively as the show comes to an end. tetsu says he's going on his patrol after... you know, patrol to help keep the world safe... and so on. Right. He'll be going to Minato-ku or Chuo-ku, probably.

The end~ (Hey they have a theme song with words now)

Also : Creature Creature News! (Credit to Bell-chan/aokipunk for telling me)

Although it isn't confirmed on any official sites that I've seen, several music sites are advertising three different singles under the name "Creature Creature" for release 7/19! Each single is listed at two separate prices, so I presume that means one version comes with a bonus of some kind while the other does not.

That's -all- I know so please don't ask. More info when it's available.

A special Gocha! tetsu wasn't on his regular show. Seems like there was someone missing on one of the other days, so he went on as a guest to fill in. That's just my guess, they didn't explain.

Yes, I know the 5th was a Wednesday : tetsu was a special guest on the Wednesday show! They introduced him as tetsu-san of the punishments, because he always loses the games as we well know XD

I don't know the hosts of Wednesday at all, so sorry in advance for any confusion between them. Also, this file is in quite bad quality.

The first girl brings up the karaoke competition back in December, saying how they were all sure that a professional like him would win easily. He laughs and says that was four months ago. Anyway, he brought presents : some kind of skin cream.

She then asks him a few questions to get to know him.

First question : What are you into lately?
tetsu : Cleaning my house.

They ask if he cleans it all by himself, and also if he's moving, and he just gives a little laugh instead of replying.

Second : What's the most extravagant thing you've done?
tetsu : Getting a private room on the Shinkansen.

The girl asking the questions gets excited and asks if he got the front of the train, and he's like "Um... no?" Shinkansen is an expensive train ride to begin with, so the cost of getting a private car on it must be ridiculous. The girl then says once she wandered up and down the train looking for a bathroom and found an area she couldn't go in. It must have been tetsu's private room, she thinks.

Third : What's the first thing you look at on a girl?
tetsu : Ankles.

Fourth : How big is your home?
tetsu : 100 mats-ish.

Needless to say the others are greatly impressed by this. He's estimating, so it might be only 99, or 103 or something.

Fifth : How much have you spent lately?
tetsu : A million yen.

Much oohing and aahing.

Sixth : What's the most expensive thing you have at home?
tetsu : A table.

It's brand name and imported designer furniture, apparently.

Seventh : What kind of thing makes you feel like you're an S. (or ace?)
tetsu : When I intentionally don't answer the phone.

One of the hosts reprimands him for that.

Eighth : When do you feel like you're an M? (Nani : I have no idea what that means.)
tetsu : Never.

Ninth : What do you think is the key to a women's appeal?
tetsu : Her breasts.

That one makes the others laugh.

Last question : Are you decisive about things?
tetsu : Once in a while.

The girl asking the questions concludes that he's a lot like someone else she's interviewed this left. Speaking of the cleaning thing, they ask if he's moving soon, and he says he's thinking about it, and that makes him want to clean. He lives alone of course, he's a bachelor, and so they ask how old he is. He's 36, and then they ask his birthday, which is in October, and that makes him a little older than one of their hosts who's the same age.

About the Shinkansen thing, it's kinda normal for him now. Two of the regulars start arguing about something on trains. Then they talk about special trips on it they've taken. tetsu says the best part is that you can do whatever you want in a private car. One of them asks about the other members, and tetsu says that they don't get private cars, its just tetsu. He insists its not because he's better than them or anything.

All of sudden one of the hosts clues in that if he's 36 it means he's born in '69. A true flash of insight, there.

Next they ask for more details about his huge apartment. He's not good at estimating the size of the individual rooms though. One asks about his real estate agent, tetsu says he has a good one but they bug him a lot. tetsu says he's really good at bargaining and can get good deals. One host asks him for tips. tetsu says he'll very up front about things, like "I'll give you this much for it" and stating his price like that.

Then they start talking about the show itself, tetsu is jealous that there are only three regulars on this one and that they have so much space. Randomly, the girl says he has a really nice watch on. They say tetsu should come onto their show more often. They say its lots of fun having him there.

Next they ask him what he's been up to lately, if he gets many days off. He says lately he's had nothing but days off, and laughs. For the last month, the only work he's really done is show up for Gocha on Mondays. Before they get too jealous, he explains that his job doesn't involve going places and following schedules anyway. Lately what he has to do is compose songs and write lyrics, so that's all he's been doing. Doesn't feel like real work. One host says that doesn't count and days off, the other says it does. tetsu feels like his only real work is Gocha, so there you go.

Then they start bugging him saying they want to hear his new songs, but the song that comes on in just REVERSE, not anything new.

- CM Break + REVERSE -

They're still grilling tetsu. They ask about that expensive table of his. It's a Herman-Miller (sp?), hence the expense. They ask how much it actually costs, and he just says "This much", presumably showing them a number. They freak and say that's a CAR, not a table. Must be a lot indeed. He actually ordered it, didn't get it from the store himself, and then realised how expensive it was later. The others are jealous that he can do that with such expensive goods.

After a long trip into another host's expensive stuff story, the talk goes back to tetsu. They ask about his other furniture, like couch and stuff. He has a couch, but its a compact one, only big enough for two. Just big enough for him to sleep on. He falls asleep on the couch watching TV sometimes. They're kinda surprised at that cause he has so much space to play with. He says his TV isn't that big either, only 47 inches. He thinks. He also has a desk for his computer in the living room. He thinks his couch is pretty normal. His bed is better. The others are sure that "normal" when tetsu says it must be expensive to everyone else. One of the hosts asks about his bedsheets, but tetsu doesn't respond to that one.

Then they ask about the one where he answered "breasts". They ask if he prefers big ones, but he just sorta laughs and says he's not very knowledgeable about that. They ask what cup size he thinks is best, he laughs and stalls and then says size doesn't really matter. They ask what about shape, colour, etc? Famous girls who's boobs he likes? He doesn't give a single straight answer, just that colour is important, which quickly turns into a bit of a joke, mostly at the hyper girl's expense.

Finally they conclude the segment.

- CM break -

This seems to be one of their regular games, sort of a "cool or not cool" thing. ( Rather, its "Moe" or not, which is kind of a hard slang to explain. It can mean either something cute or something geeky, like the way cat girls are cute and also geek fetishes. That's how it was explain to me, anyway) They ask tetsu to be the judge, so rather than participate he has to decide whether stuff gets a ding or a bzz.

They start, but it seems tetsu isn't sure exactly what he's supposed to do, so he appologises for dinging the first one too soon. They try to play but it quickly breaks into a giggle fest. I don't know, maybe that's normal for this game.

- CM break -

They play the game more. tetsu decides the next one was not bad, therefore he gives it a ding. Then he starts playing with the echo effect, causing the girl to yell at him. The next one, by a guy, sounds really frighteningly like a girl, and tetsu bzzes him saying that was just scary. The game goes on. tetsu ends up dinging himself, mostly cause he can. He seems to be really enjoying that control.

- CM break -

tetsu says it was fun, he didn't get punished for losing anything. He also says it was fun, and that he felt surrounded by girls. (Nani : I should explain that the one guy host is very questionable sounding.) He says he'd like to come back sometime, if he can.

The end~

Don't know when I'll have the next one up, as I seem to have something messed up with my 4/10 file. ._.

There are a lot of snacks in the studio today! Seems Ai brought them in. They talk about kinds of snacks, and stuff they ate when they were kids. They end up talking about a katsudon flavoured snack, which tetsu tried because he saw it on a TV commercial. Then they talk about actual katsudon and how they like to eat it.

Back to snacks, Ai talks about her love for chocolate. She says she liked it more as a kid, so tetsu says its because of her tastes maturing. He says he can relate. They talk about other snacks that are around there. tetsu sounds like he's got something in his mouth ^^. Indeed, they're accusing each other of stealing different snacks. Then tetsu goes OW, so I guess he bit his tongue or something.

As Emi starts to describe a snack she likes, tetsu starts talking about "a perverted..." and then goes "Oh sorry" as Joshima returns the conversation to the snacks. He's actually quite involved in the conversation, by tetsu standards.

The next snack up is a yogurt thingy that reminds tetsu of something he used to eat as a kid. Emi reads the label out, and they try to figure out what the flavour really is. Joshima thinks its like a mushroom candy, and then we hear -strange- inhaling sounds and much giggling. The girls scold tetsu for it though.

Joshima then changes the subject to a friend of his, actually the girlfriend of a friend, who won some money lately. She text messaged him to go YAY, but also said not to repeat it. This leads them to talk about keeping secrets. Ai mentions April Fool's jokes and deliberately deceiving people. tetsu says he never tells lies or deceives people, which Joshima concludes must be a lie. Then Joshima asks if he's ever had to keep a secret for someone, like one of the members for instance, and tetsu's only example was that he got a message saying "We got married" and he wasn't supposed to tell. That sort of thing is pretty unbelievable when the message comes.

Joshima then talks about doing April Fool's pranks at lives. False announcements and stuff, to get the crowd panicked. Or pretending to end the show early. Or playing a really crappy tune that isn't their song. Some people really believe it! And end up crying, so they have to make sure to say its not true as soon as possible.

Fanmail corner.

First letter, from someone proud to have gone to AWAKE tour. This person asks tetsu what kind of bass they should buy; since it will be their first bass and such an expensive thing to buy, they don't want to get the wrong one.

tetsu's first bass was about 50 000 yen, made in Japan. As for brand names, he says either of the two Japanese models names are fine. His parents actually bought it for him, since he had no money for this sort of thing at the time, which he specifies upon being asked as being when he was 14. So good advice would be for this fan to ask their parents to pay for it. As for recommending a specific model :

Joshima : Which model would be best?
tetsu : The tetsu model, from L'Arc~en~Ciel. Yeah, his is really good, and easy to play too. (giggles)

Apparently three different brands will carry it, and the most reasonable price is about 50 000 to 60 000 yen. There's another model he designed that goes for 40-50000 yen. Note that tetsu is describing all this in the third person, saying "his" basses as if they were designed by some other tetsu. RIGHT. So Joshima plays along and asks tetsu to ask "him" about other basses. And then asks about statistics and stuff, and tetsu goes "NO FAIR!"

He then goes on to say he couldn't believe it when he got to be in this side of the business. Joshima asks about the design of the tetsu models, and he answers that they're okay. tetsu then says that sometimes he dreams about getting his own business going and giving the world the ideal bass. As for colour, the tetsu basses come in either white or red. Joshima says he wants a red one.

Next letter asks about oversleeping and getting up in general. How are the hosts about waking up, and have they ever slept in and missed something important?

tetsu says he is a bad waker. He's slow and sluggish when he wakes up, and it takes him about an hour to get ready in the morning, at least 30 of which are spent with the alarm clock on snooze. He just lazes around in bed, going "I dont wanna get uppp!" Even when he's in a hurry, he goes "I don't wanna get up~ Even though I have to~" His alarm clock is actually his cell phone, though. (BTW his "don't wanna get up~" voice is really quite worth listening to~)

Emi says she's bad at waking up too. Plus it takes her 30 minutes to do her make up, so it takes a long time to get ready. She then starts babbling about make up. Ai is pretty much the same when it comes to getting up. Joshima and tetsu then tease her about taking an hour for makeup, saying that it really suits her. She says it does -not- take that long, and in fact she applies it while watching TV. More makeup talk ensues. The guys conclude that spending 20-30 minutes on makeup is horrible, and Joshima says he's glad not to be a woman.

tetsu actually does wear makeup, but only for lives. They put waterproof stuff on him, he thinks its foundation. Of course they stylists/crew take care of it, and its made to look natural. He gets it done whenever he's on stage or TV, but it's never him that does it. He can't apply makeup himself. Sometimes he shows up for an appearance without having washed his face and with bed hair.

Best 3 corner!

First, to Ai : Three things she wants to get for her home
3. Toilet Paper
2. A water filter
1. She doesn't know what it is, but she describes it, and tetsu ends up saying it doesn't count, whatever it is. He also wonders aloud about the toilet paper one, and Ai just says she hasn't got any right now.

Next, to Emi : Things that scare her
3. Moths
2. Ghosts and stuff
1. Public speaking

They bring back the story of her singing a Micheal Jackson song for an English test, so the others start going "WE WANNA HEAR!" and try to make her sing, but she refuses. Emi ends up telling them that she won't be able to graduate from her school, and the others are like "Oh... sorry." But she did get an AA on that English test. Seems that she has a chance to graduate later though, she just won't be graduating when she was originally supposed to, which was this year.

Next, to tetsu : Favourite colours
tetsu : Really? That's it? That's the whole question? Just colours?
(Note that it still takes him time to come up with answers. He claims that's because it depends what the colour is for)
3. Pink
2. Silver
1. White

Again he asks "Is that it? Really?!" He just can't believe he got such a simple question.

Lastly, to Joshima : Female celebrities that made his heart pound
3. Yoshinada Sayuri
2. Kuroki Hitomi
1. Wada Akiko

The last one makes them all laugh because Wada Akiko is known to be rather ugly, but intense and somewhat scary. Joshima was a guest on her show, and he was nervous. Kuroki Hitomi is just so pretty she's awe-inspiring to him. As for Yoshinada Sayuri, he had a crush on her in middle school, and then he met her later and was like "OMG ITS HER!!" Emi asks if there are any other famous girls like that, and he says yeah, but none that he's met. tetsu is laughing to himself, but Joshima doesn't get a chance to pick on him this time.

Monday Drama Theatre~

This week's theme is : The cell phone... and the guys will be improvising.

Ai : It's been so long since I've been able to walk like this with you, Shigeru-kun!
Joshima : Hmmm, yeah, that's right!
A : Yeah, because of work, we couldn't see much of each other.
J : Um, well, er... Well today we can take our time.
A : Yay! I'm glad! Where are we going?
J : It's been a while, so... I'll treat you to something.
A : Eeeh! Yay!! Okay, I want something tasty...
*cell phone buzz*
A : Your phone's ringing.
J : Uh.. huh.
A : Not gonna answer?
J : Uh uh.
A : But it's ringing!
J : I noticed.
A : Why aren't you getting it?
J : Eh... Um.. Cause I don't want anything to interrupt our time together today, so I won't answer in case it's work.

Awww, isn't that cute?

Now for tetsu and Emi, its about usual. His last line is : "It's a number I don't recognise. Must be a salesman."

Joshima thinks his is sweeter, but Ai says any girl would get suspicious and think he's hiding something. Emi agrees. Then, since the phone in the drama was buzzing on vibrate mode, Emi is asked what her vibe is like. A pause, then they all start laughing hard. Then they switch to talking about the drama script some more. tetsu ends up concluding that lying is probably better. But in real life he'd just answer the phone, and if it wasn't anything good he'd just hang up on them. Emi says she always answers her phone, no matter what. This surprises the others.

- Break -

Oha corner~

This time as Ai reads the intro, she's very careful to pronounce "Shiji" properly. tetsu cuts in with "You sure it's not shiri?" and Ai replies "Shiji. Yes."

The task itself is to play a quiz game. They need to make words based on a clue. If they can't make enough words, they will be punished, but if they get enough right Joshima will be punished. So the girls tell tetsu to work hard and not make them all lose.

First clue is Phone (denwa).

Ai : rusuban denwa (answering machine) *ding*
Emi : ito denwa (thread phone, as in two cans connected by a string) *ding*
tetsu : keitai denwa (cell phone) *ding*
A : kuro denwa (black phone) *ding*
E : koushuu denwa (public phone) *ding*
t : denwa bokkusu (phone box) *ding*
A : denwacho (phone book) *ding*
E : cordless denwa *ding*
t : *starts laughing and runs out of time*

The girls scold tetsu for losing, then come up with a few more possibilities. tetsu apologises. The second clue is Baseball. I know nothing at all about baseball so I'm just going to write what it sounds like. Kyuu = ball, so presumably some are different kinds of pitches? I'm just guessing.

E : Kusee kyuu *ding*
t : puree kyuu *ding*
A : Amachaya kyuu *ding*
E : yakyuuken *ding*
t : Shounen yakyuu (little league) *ding*
A : yakyuu jinsei (baseball life) *dinged after some hesitation*
E : yakyuu jou (baseball stadium) *ding*
t : (quickly) Oh no is it my turn again I though we'd be done by now? *BZZZ*

They get one more topic to break the minimum score for not getting punishment! It's "man"

t : Ultraman *ding*
A : Manchuuman (?) *ding*
E : Superman *ding*
t : Spectreman (?) *ding*
A : cameraman *ding*
E : salaryman *ding*
t : Superman *ding* then *BZZ* cause Emi already said it.
t : Uh... Uh.. Gentleman *ding*
A : Anpanman *ding*
E: *is messed up by the timing, but tries to blame tetsu*

The punishment will be in the last segment~

Hello there, I'm the co-owner of Pieces Forum ^^

I guess you have noticed we've been off-line lately... well, please don't panic.
We're being migrated to a new server and we'll keep off-line as long as the migrating work is still ongoing. The new server will work way better than the old one, with even more bandwidth and space.
So please wait a bit, we're working in it and we'll finish asap.
By the way, since we also host Seki-Ray, the Gackt forum, it's also in the same situation.

Thanks for your patience,
MiZuNo

PS: I'll try to x-post this in every L'Arc somehow-related community but it'd be really great if you spreaded the news too.

Gocha Maze! 3/27

It's already the end of march! It went by fast! tetsu makes rather more sound than usual, leading the others to point out how unusual it is for him to participate right from the start. He says it's because it's spring.

Joshima then asks tetsu if he went to any hanami, which tetsu has indeed done. (Nani : Hanami means "seeing the flowers", refers to spending some time watching the cherry blossoms, usually in a park, which is a greatly celebrated and anticipated event every year.) tetsu was in a group of three, and they went in the evening. Joshima asks if they drank, and tetsu said they didn't. Actually, they were walking around looking at the flowers, not sitting around drinking. Joshima mentions how some people like to karaoke in the parks, and tetsu says he's never done that. Too bad, Joshima replies, because tetsu has such a nice singing voice. He says he'll sing if he loses a game today, or something.

Ai went to do some hanami too. She went with some staff, other seiyuu, and friends. A lot of them were older than her, but the guys tease her anyway. This leads to much talk about Ai being an old lady, even though she's really quite young, and also some talk about spring colours, especially pink.

Today, Emi and Ai are both wearing green, by coincidence. tetsu's wearing a bit of green too, also by coincidence. Joshima asks the girls if they ever talk outside of the show, and they do. Emails and text messages. There's some talk about Ai doing all the sending and Emi never replying, which she denies.

Ai then asks if tetsu and Joshima ever email each other. They don't, but they do have each other's cell numbers. They never send each other text messages though. Never ever. tetsu only has a few friends he'll email at all, even on the computer. Joshima says he has tetsu on his contact lists anyway though. Its just easier since everything is linked, and before he knew it tetsu was on his lists everywhere. They talk about a mutual friend who got married, and they were both hearing about it, but for a second they can't remember who it was! It was a writer they know, and this all happened some years ago. tetsu says he heard that person has a kid now, which Joshima hadn't known. This leads Joshima to bring up how old he is, almost forty!

- Break - Song and CM -

Fanmail corner~

The person says that the first time they listened to the show, they misheard the bit where Ai introduces the Oha corner and thought she had said "Shiri wo dashiteimasu" (Shiri = one's behind) rather than "shiji wo dashiteimasu" (leaves instructions). This makes them laugh. The fan was also surprised at how bad tetsu is at the games, which makes tetsu laugh.

Ai apologizes for being hard to understand. They all laugh, and Emi says she wants to see Joshima's behind. tetsu says that would be interesting, and Joshima should. Emi takes it back, saying she doesn't really want to see. Joshima says fine, he'll show it from far away, in a serious tone. Then they comment on tetsu's infamous lack of skill at pointless games. He says he was surprised at how badly he does, too. Joshima tells him to win today's game for once.

Next letter : This person says she changes her underwear before leaving home. She'll wear comfortable ones in the morning but change before going out. She's often told by her friends that this is weird. She knows no one is going to see her underwear, but her reasoning is that if she gets in an accident and goes to the hospital, she doesn't want to wearing weird underwear. She asks the girls if they think it's weird, and ends with a comment on how she would not be surprised to learn that the guys wore weird, cute underwear at home.

After a little initial puzzlement, tetsu says he'd like to see some of the different types of underwear, making Ai toss a disapproving "tetsu-san >_>" his way. Much giggling. Emi says she does have different underwear for different moods, and no she's not going to show them, but some are really cute. Ai explains what kind of underwear she usually prefers too. Joshima asks if tetsu likes seeing girls in their undies, but he says no, not really. It doesn't do anything for him. Emi asks about seeing up skirts, and tetsu says sure, he doesn't mind seeing. More talk.. Emi says there are certain pairs that it would be acceptable for someone to see. tetsu says that he doesn't want to see any girl's undies, but if he catches a glimpse its like "Woah!" and he'll look anyway. A few Eeehs, and then they move on.

Next letter : From someone who hates waiting, asks if the hosts will leave if someone doesn't show up at the appointed time, or if they'll wait longer?

tetsu's already said that he doesn't like waiting, but he can be forgiving, even at work. But, he will get mad when it comes to lives. He doesn't like it when the start gets delayed, even if one of the members is still in make-up. Joshima asks what takes the longest when getting ready for a show : it's his clothes. tetsu describes how he'll pick an outfit for one day, then decide he feels like wearing something different; even though he has a stylist to help pick out his clothes he gets indecisive about it. And so he'll change a lot. The longest he's spent on his concert outfits has been 15-20 minutes. So it's not really that bad. He says he hates the waiting not just for his own sake, but also for the staff and for the audience.

Ai says she doesn't like waiting much, but when it comes to work she doesn't have much choice. When it's not for work, she tries to show up right on time so no one has to wait. Joshima abruptly comments on Ai drinking juice, and then he comments on her cute voice, but after another comment from tetsu Joshima claims that there's too much of an age difference to be suspicious.

Speaking of age, Emi is actually younger than Ai. Then Joshima says that means she is born in the year of the bird (aka chicken, rooster, cock ,take your pick), so tetsu pipes up saying "me too." Emi is the year of the dog, and so is Joshima. They get off topic, and end up talking about being on TV. Joshima says he and tetsu have seen Ai on TV, on the shows she does voices for, and they can recognize her by the way she goes "Ah!". Ai protests that they're making fun of her, saying tetsu is laughing too much. They then go back to talking about how to tell how old someone is; apparently you can tell age by looking at a girls neck. Ai shrieks "DON'T LOOK AT MY NECK!"

With this nonsense, we go to CM.

Best 3 corner~

First, to Emi : Things she wanted to try doing 10 years ago.
3. Write love letters
2. Leave home
1. Sleep with a bang (Nani : I don't know what she means either)

Blabla Emi is annoying and useless.

Second, to Ai : If she got married, what would she do for her husband every day?
3. Have warm food for him to eat
2. Decorate with flowers
1. Smooch him.

Joshima thinks the food one goes without saying, but Ai explains that it would be homemade and good.

Third, to tetsu from someone who wants to see him with long hair again, (and Joshima adds that he wants to see that too) : What does he have in his wallet besides money?
3. Notes and letters (This generates giggles and he says he won't say too much more)
2. (I don't understand, sounds like Quiz?!)
1. Picks. (as in for playing music with. Not "pictures" pics.)

tetsu : What, don't you carry picks too, Joshima-kun?

Joshima says he doesn't, even though he does play guitar. tetsu then goes "Oh, you must carry too many of those round... round packaged things...." and Joshima cuts him off yelling "I AM NOT A MIDDLE SCHOOL KID!" Much laughter. Joshima changes the topic by asking tetsu what kind of picks he uses. tetsu likes the onigiri shaped ones. The giggling doesn't die though. Oh, and tetsu says he has hair stuff, too. Like rubber bands.

Joshima asks the girls what they carry around, but neither of them actually has a wallet.

Last, to Joshima : What does he often warn younger musicians to be careful about?
3. Hairstyles
2. Life-long matters
1. Dancing

After all, he is in a boyband and meets a lot of other boybands, so dance is an important thing. TOKIO has to participate in lots of special events because of that.

Monday Drama Theatre!

While Joshima is doing his special intro, Emi gets the giggles and it spreads to Ai, which distracts Joshima.

Anyway! The theme is : Presents. The girls get the improv.

J : Happy Birthday.
A : Thanks!
J : It's your first birthday since we started dating, isn't it.
A : Yeah. I'll be happy if you could always be around to celebrate it with me.
J : Of course. Next year and the year after... I'll be around to celebrate with you forever.
A : Really? Thanks.
J : Here, your present.
A : Ehhh? Yay! Thanks!
J : It's nothing special though.
A : Can I open it?
J : Sure.
*paper noise*
*music box sound*
A : What is this?
J : A music box.
A : The tune kinda reminds me of something...

END!

Emi and tetsu's version is as expected. He sounds bored and very Osakan.

Her last line : Is that all?

Emi says she thinks it would be better if there was a ring inside the music box or something. When asked, tetsu says he's never been in this sort of situation, but he might give something like that as a present. Joshima says the first time he gave a birthday present to a girlfriend, it was a giant Snoopy plush. He was in high school, didn't have much money, and she really liked Snoopy. She was happy with it, so it worked out. This was back in the 1980s of course, which makes the girls go "Eeeeh". tetsu says he doesn't remember high school much. He didn't have much money back then either though.

The girls mention some disappointing presents they've gotten, as well as the best ones they've ever received. tetsu ends up saying he'd want a music box. And wouldn't mind giving one. He says presents really depend on the person. There are some things he wouldn't want to give though, even if they were what the person wanted. Like, a ring. He'd be uncomfortable giving anyone a ring because its something you only give when you want to get married. Joshima says he understands. tetsu says he could give money instead. The girls say he's horrible. tetsu doesn't much like people who say they want expensive things for their birthday, like Chanel stuff and so on. They keep up the conversation a little more before the break.

Oha Corner~

This week, Ai intentional said "Shiri", like the fan letter had misheard, and giggles. Anyway, the game they have to do is a theme word game. They have to name as many words as they can associated with a theme, BUT this week there's the unique twist that they are supposed to use words that have a perverted association. Whoever gets the fewest accepted answers will suffer the punishment.

First theme : Names of zoo animals.
Their voices are echo-amplified as they speak.

A : Orautan (orangutan) *Ding*
E : Chinpanji (chimpanzee) *ding*
t : Namakemono (sloth) *whip!*
A : Uma (horse) *ding*
E : Mamosu (I don't know) *ding*
t : Ke... ke... keke.. *giggles* Kirin (Giraffe) *whipped*

They tell tetsu to pull himself together and move on to the next topic : Places in Japan

E : Nara *ding*
t : Oshamanbe *whipped* Apparently that's not in Japan, though he argues that it is.
A : Chichibu *ding*
E : Kyuushuu (pronounced oddly) *ding*
t : Oodo *explodes* He insists its a place, but clearly the judges do not agree.

Since tetsu got zero points, he lost badly. He says it means he's not dirty minded.

- break -

Joshima's first lame pun is greeted by the same EXPLOSION sound from before. He thought the game was very interesting, so Emi suggests that they play again with all four of them. The theme is Vegetables.

J : Uri (squash) *ding*
A : Nasu (eggplant) *ding*
E : Chinkeizai (a type of herb?) *ding*
t : Kyuuri (cucumber) *whipped!*

tetsu : Why?!

Another theme : Things you see on the street

E : Manhole *ding!* Everyone bursts out laughing.

They pretty much give up, saying that one can't be topped, so tetsu accepts his punishment. Joshima says Emi can make anything sound perverted.

The end~

I hope that was fun for all! Sadly my perv-IQ is not enough to explain WHY most of this was perverted T_T

It's Finals. I don't have the TIME to catch up right now x_x I'll do what I can when I can spare it. Sorry, we're going to be lagging behind for a while.

Joshima reprimands Emi for messing up the start! And then says "Wow! Your hairstyle changed!" As a follow-up to last week. Emi talks about her hair, and how she wants to get her hair done buy whoever does tetsu's but she's sure she can't afford it.

tetsu goes "No no no..." and explains that he has a stylist. But it's not an exclusive thing, his stylist has other clients. Joshima says "So you just call and they come over to your 200-square-meter home to do your hair?" to which tetsu answers "No, that's where I -used- to live." But he has to go actually go see the stylist, in their atelier. He used the French word, which got Joshima commenting. tetsu thinks it can apply to jobs too though, not necessarily just art like Joshima thought.

Joshima thinks its more normal to have a stylist come to the clients place, which is kinda surprising to the others. tetsu says he doesn't like having people over, not even if he got married, he clarifies once Joshima asks. He has no intention of getting married though, if he ever did, she'd have to move in really quickly before he could change his mind.

Joshima then asks Ai about marriage, she thinks it would be a good idea some day, but not anytime soon. Joshima says something about wanting to have children early, and tetsu cuts in with "I'd rather die..." and Ai flips out on him, like "It's not that bad!". tetsu says he won't ever get married.

Joshima asks Ai what kind of guy she wants to marry. She wants a guy who'll take out the trash, and who won't watch horror movies when she's around. She can't think of a third requirement, so tetsu suggests "Someone who doesn't eat cheese?" and Ai likes that, she wants a guy who won't eat cheese around her. Joshima thinks her requirements are pretty simple, if strange.

Emi says she can relate to the one about horror movies. She once dated a guy who loved them, and all he wanted to do on their dates was watch horror movies. She goes on about that for a bit, until Joshima asks about her first date. She went to an amusement park but got so nervous she puked. More on Emi's life when I decide to care. IE never.

The conversation heads toward kissing, and tetsu says he's a good kisser. Then they start talking about amusement parks, and tetsu says he's gone to one at night before. Joshima asks when's the last time he went to one. tetsu answers : "Eeeh? Today..." Which surprised the others. He really did. He goes undercover, and no one realises it's him. To the point that it's kinda sad. Sometimes people will come up and ask him for a picture, and he'll think "Oh crap, busted!" but they just want him to take a picture of them instead. Joshima jokes that one of these days he'll be like "Oh they caught me!" and have to make a distraction, like "Look its snowing!" (snow = yuki) and tetsu mumbles something along the lines of "yuki never gets noticed either..."

They start talking about specific parks, namely Disney Sea. Joshima and Emi haven't been
there, but want to. So they talk about Mickey Mouse and stuff for a bit. tetsu : "There's a Disney land in America, Hong Kong, and Europe, right? Yeah. That's good." and laughs. Ai figures its more magical to go to the foreign parks. They start saying something about the company that airs this show, and quickly cut to CM..

- Break : CM + TOKIO -

Fanmail corner is augmented by a guest : Oikawa Nanase! (I think. Her name wasn't said very clearly)
Apparently the hosts had no idea she was coming until a few minutes before the show.

Anyway, first letter! From a girl who has a 13 year old sister, and this little sister has a boyfriend. The writer says she thinks her sister is too young, seeing as how she herself didn't get a boyfriend until she was 18. She asks the hosts at what age they got their first boyfriend/girlfriend, and is wondering if maybe she was just slow.

The guest confirms that 13 years old would mean first year of middle school, and thinks this is too young to have a boyfriend. She got her first one in first year of high school (~age 16). She went to Tamako (a lake?) on her first date, for a walk and food. She talks about that for a bit, as well as about birthday parties. She's 24, to be 25 next week. That makes her the same age as Ai! They both can't believe it right away, since they don't appear (or sound) the same age. Ai's birthday is in June though, so she's a tiny bit younger.

Joshima brings up the idea of people being too young to date, and Emi cuts in to say that these days, even kids in elementary school kiss. Joshima asks the girls if they think getting a first boyfriend at age 18 is too slow, and they think not. It's about normal.

As they go for the next letter, Joshima suspects there might be pictures taken, so he warns the guest.

Next letter : Asking about cell phones and text messaging. This person gets angry if the emails she sends don't get a reply, so she asks how the hosts feel about that, and if they even use their phones for that sort of thing. They've discussed this sort of thing before, which just goes to show how much Japanese girls are concerned with their cell phones these days.

Anyway! The guest says she uses her text messages a lot, the other hosts do only moderately, except for tetsu who says he mainly uses his phone for receiving messages. And most of the time he'll only answer simply, like "Okay." They ask him if he uses emoticons, and he does. As an example, he says "a sun." This makes the others laugh. He says the emoticons he'll use vary depending on who he's texting to. They then ask tetsu who he texts. Is it the other members of L'Arc? (In the background, Emi says something about hearts for hyde) But no, it seems he only uses real email (on a computer) with them.

They then ask the guest about her text message habits. She says she doesn't use

Gocha Maze! 3/13

*intro music plays*
tetsu : Are we starting?
Emi : Yeah we're starting!
All : *laugh* Oops...

So their self introduction comes a little late XD

So. It's Monday and it's the 13th. Joshima brings up that it's a good thing its Monday, because Friday the 13th is bad. He also says this is a hint for the Oha corner at the end. He asks the others if they feel confident today, cause it'll be a group penalty, and tetsu just sorta laughs, saying "I'm not promising anything!"

Then Joshima asks if anyone has ideas for other games they could play, and Emi describes one that's about not laughing at certain times. Joshima says that with the right tone of voice you can make someone laugh with any word. He then demonstrates by saying "Flip" in a low voice, which makes Emi giggle. tetsu says he'd be very bad at this sort of game, emphasized by the way he's already laughing.

Emi says it's a game high school kids play during lunch break. tetsu said he never played games with his classmates; he just wouldn't in no matter how much fun the rest of the class was having. He wasn't the joiner type at all. Joshima asked to confirm this, and tetsu replied "Hmmmmmmmmm... no." Prompting Emi to ask for an explanation that tetsu did not give.

Ai is in a good mood today because she got a delicious snack on the way to the studio. Emi complains that tasty snacks are fattening, so she doesn't get to eat much. tetsu says he only eats snacks once in a while, and ate them more often when he was a kid. He names his favourite snack from back then, a yogurt roll thingy, and the girls squee cause they like it too.

Ai talks about snacks, and Joshima starts teasing her like "Did you gain weight?!" Ai says she might have, actually. She talks about other things she's done lately, like over the weekend. They talk about her supposed weight gain too, due to delicious food she keeps mentioning. Joshima thinks keeping track of how many grams you eat/gain is important. The others are kinda weirded out. tetsu has no clue how many grams of anything he eats, for one. He'll even eat things that he doesn't quite know the origin of, like chef's special or whatever.

Joshima talks about food for a while, and then makes tetsu talk. He says that during a promotion campaign, he gets to try more different things. Lately, as in last year, he got to go all over the place like Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, for work, and eat all the local food. Promotion campaigns are usually over early, like 8pm, so restaurants are all open, as opposed to lives where he won't be done till around 11 and lots of places are closed, so campaigns are better.

Joshima says he travels more for filming shows as opposed to pure promotion, but he doesn't get to stay overnight much, they always send TOKIO back to Tokyo. Though he did get to stay over in Hokkaido once, and had lots of fun. Sounds like the girls haven't been there before. Ai then reprimands Joshima, saying he shouldn't eat so much! They tease each other a bit as the segment ends.

Fanmail corner!

From a girl who just graduated from high school. She thought she wouldn't cry, but in the end she broke down saying goodbye to the younger kids in her club. She asks the hosts if they cried at their high school graduations. Before Joshima has even finished reading the question, tetsu has already answered "YES."

A pause, then Joshima laughs at him. They all start asking him why he cried, so he tries to change the subject. He claims he hadn't been paying attention to Joshima, and wasn't really answering that email. Sorry.

So Joshima makes Ai answer instead. She did cry. It was the school song that made her. Joshima asks how the song went, but Ai can't remember. Joshima says it must because she graduated so long ago, to which Ai goes "NO IT WASN'T!". Then she retaliates by asking how well Joshima remembers his school's song, and he can't remember it at all. Of course in his case, graduation was something like 20 years ago. tetsu doesn't remember his high school's song, but he does remember his elementary school song for some reason. Even though it's really old.

Back to high school grad, Emi cried at hers too. She remembers the song, so she sings it a bit, but quite badly.

Joshima now asks tetsu what his graduation was like. tetsu answers that can't remember, but then does recall : he wasn't planning on even showing up, and he'd told the teachers he wasn't going to be there, but changed his mind at the last minute and snuck in with everyone else. Of course he got caught, but it didn't really matter.

Also, tetsu had long hair back then. Because at the time, he thought rock came from long hair... He'd started growing it out back in middle school. Oh, and his band mates from high school were at the graduation too. He insists they didn't cry, though.

Emi says everyone she knew was crying, even guys. Ai says the same, and Joshima imitates sobbing. Emi adds that even some of her teachers cried. She goes on about the details of the ceremony.

Next letter : Asks if the hosts have camera phones. If so, what do they like to take pictures of? This person takes pictures of food and clothes they like, especially brand names.

Joshima says he does that sometimes, like if he sees something expensive he likes but can't get. Emi doesn't use the camera on her phone. Ai sees people take pictures on their phones a lot at work. Some people like cats, or sometimes people will use pics as memos, like "get this thing".

tetsu almost never uses his phone's camera, and when he finally decided to use it, he found out it was broken. That's his only experience with a camera phone.

Joshima then talks about how cell phone cameras are getting better and better, so there's less point to buying a real digital camera. tetsu's response is "Oh really?" and explains that his phone is rather old. It -used- to have a camera.

With a few more comments about how everyone has a cell phone these days, the segment ends.

Best 3 corner!

First, to Ai : Foods she hates
3. Green peas
2. Something I can't catch for the life of me, sounds like sugwam o.O
1. Cheese.

She has bad memories of eating something with green peas in it that she hated. As for cheese, she even prefers here pizza without cheese. She doesn't understand why people put it on. She doesn't like the smell of it either. And she's never tried blue cheese, but has heard it smells bad. tetsu says it smells fine, though he hasn't tried eating it either.

Second, to Emi : Tough things she's had to do on TV
3. Skydiving
2. Trolling that lasted 5 hours
1. Jumping down something 10 meters up

The skydiving was really scary. Joshima has tried it before too, but he enjoyed it. Trolling is something you do in a boat, and it lasted so long because of the waves. The 10 meter jump thing was scary too.

Third, to tetsu : Cars he wants right now.
t: Eeeeh? Cars?
3. Eeeeh... umm... lets see...
3. cars.. cars... Ummmmmmmm.... Ummm.......... (the others give a few suggestions but he's still puzzling and doesn't actually name one
2! Uuuuh, a hummer.
1. Astoma (?)

He describes the cars a bit, but this translator does not know enough about them to make sense of it. There are smaller hummers out now, and that's what he wants.

Lastly, to Joshima : things he needs to have
3. A good night's sleep
2. A change of clothes
1. Food

Monday Drama Theatre!

This week's theme is : Oblivious Boyfriend! The guys are improvising the end.

Ai : Sorry! Did you wait long?
Joshima : Nah, I just got here myself.
A : What do you want to de?
J : Wanna see a movie?
A : A movie? Um... how about...
J : Bowling?
A : Bowling... Ehe... How about...
J : Oh, I know! Karaoke contest!
A : Um, karaoke?
J : Okay, so good food then?
A : Um.
J : Drinking? I found a great new bar. What's wrong? Are you mad at me?
A : Can't you tell?
J : Tell what?
A : "What?" You can't tell at all?
J : What are you talking about?
A : I got a haircut.
J : Oh, well now that I look at it it really suits you.

They laugh.

tetsu and Emi's version : He finishes with : "I noticed, but I was gonna mention it later"

More laughter. tetsu admits he probably wouldn't notice in real life. Emi says she really did get a haircut, and Joshima is like "SO YOU DID!... Did you dye it too?" Emi did not change the colour. tetsu uses his same excuse. Joshima says that he wouldn't notice a little trim. Ai says she would still like her guy to realise there's a difference. Emi agrees. Its just nice to know that people notice. The guys just go "Hm." They talk about noticing details; tetsu hasn't got much to add despite Joshima's prodding. At length, tetsu claims that he -did- notice Emi's haircut.

Oha corner~

This week, they have to play a game where they are given a word, and must rattle off as many things associated with it as they can within a certain time delay. It's a group thing, and they need to reach a minimum score of 12 to pass, or else they all suffer. If they can break the 40 point mark, Joshima will suffer instead.

The girls tell tetsu to work hard because they want to win!

Ai starts, with the theme of : Elephants!
A : Long nose! Has a big (something)! Eats grass! There's a movie where one of them becomes a star. They're gray! They spray water! They eat a lot of twigs! They're heavy!! They have tusks!

She then gets buzzed for having run out of time, with only 9 points made.

Emi's turn! Theme is : Hawaii
E : It's hot! There's the ocean. There are lots of celebrities! You can get shotglasses. You can surf. Kamehamemeha! Ukulele!

Our of time! She can't believe it, but that's how it is. She got 7 points. tetsu asks for a full minute to do his. He needs to get 24 points to win it! He brought a dictionary though, so he's not worried. You can even hear him flip pages.

The theme is : Guitar!

t : Six-strings! Made prettily! Plastic parts! Can be used in many ways! Makes sounds! Um... Um... Some of them take electricity! Some are made of aluminium! (this one is Bzzed) No, really! (gets a ding) Sometimes they have 7 strings! Some are acoustic! *gets bzzed for lack of time*

So they didn't make it.

All : Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh?

They get punishment drink!

- CM Break; Link -

Final segment! Lame puns abound. He then asks Ai if she knows any more. She doesn't. Joshima asks around, eventually asking tetsu if he tells any jokes during his MCs. He says not really, so they ask to hear what he says during lives. He's a bit reluctant, and says that hyde does most of the talking, so he doesn't do much. But, hyde does insist that he do something, so as we well know, he throws his bananas. Joshima marvels "You lick the bananas?!" (This may or may bot have been intentional... throw = nageru, lick = nameru). Much laughter. They think it's pretty weird, and the show ends to their laughing at how strange it is to throw bananas at people.

Gocha Maze 3/6

It's finally spring! Yay! Spring clothing is coming out, yay. Joshima says it reminds of when he first moved to Tokyo and lived in such a tiny apartment that when spring came, he'd pack up his thick winter clothes and take them to his parent's house for storage. He'd also do a lot of spring cleaning, making sure everything was in its place, which tetsu admits to also doing. Ai thought that was totally normal though.

They talk about cleaning and making sure the tatami mats are even and so on. Joshima thinks its harder to keep the place clean in winter. He's been reprimanded before because he's famous and he should keep his home clean as an example...

The topic moves to fashion, Emi explains that spring skirts are longer than winter ones.

Then, Joshima asks tetsu if he moves his winter clothes out when spring comes, then reconsiders. "Nah, you have a huge closet don't you?". tetsu sounds a little embarrassed, trying to downplay the amount of space he actually has, but nonetheless explains that it's a walk-in closet, to the amazement of the girls. So he really doesn't need to worry about space; he can walk around in his closet and even has a chair in it to sit down while deciding what to wear. Still, he insists that its a totally normal apartment!

However, the place tetsu used to live in was bigger, so he ended up keeping clothes he didn't really like. In fact his last apartment was... 200 square meters! Totally out of the league the other three can afford! Joshima explains so people can get a sense of how big that is : It's a fraction of Tokyo Dome!

tetsu tries to laugh it off, and gives the different room sizes in tatami mats size (3 feet by 6 feet; or ~1x2 meters). His living room was 40 mats (all others : EEEH!?), kitchen was 10 mats (Joshima : "Do they even make kitchens that big?!"), it looked like a showroom kitchen. Emi says her place seems big enough to her but it's probably unimaginably small to tetsu. Joshima says his place is about the size of tetsu's closet, probably. Oh, and tetsu adds that his bathroom had both the bath and the toilet, to the "wow"s of the others. (Nani : This is not common in Japanese homes) So it was a big bathroom.

tetsu did indeed live in such a huge place all by himself. He also owned two cars at the time, but he had a hard time getting parking spaces for both of them near each other, which grated on his nerves. The others get curious and ask how much his lease cost. He won't say, but given that it's in Tokyo, a place that size... he gives them a very impressive estimate.

Joshima : That's it, I wanna be in L'Arc!
Emi : Me too!

tetsu says no way, of course, not even to being standby members.

Joshima asks more about the cars; tetsu says they were cute ones, but he doesn't have them anymore. It was a pair of pink Porsches. Yes, two pink Porsches, he repeats to an incredulous Joshima. They were different models, and slightly different shades of pink. He's had pink cars before, and sold them, and will probably get pink cars again later too. He's owned Ferraris before too. The others are to no end impressed.

When tetsu got his first Porsche he wasn't all that impressed with it. He was only 24, and paid cash, but it was ALL the money he had, right after L'Arc's debut. He couldn't shop or anything, but he had his car. When he showed up at the studio with it, heads would turn. It was his first pink Porsche. Because he likes pink.

tetsu : I like pink. *giggles*

He's sure he's the only one who drives pink Porsches, too. When asked, he says that he didn't dream of one day owning a pink Porsche or anything. He wanted to get a car, looked in car magazines, and picked that. He went right to the store after a recording and waited until he got his car. Before that, he drove Japanese cars. The others are quite jealous and want to try driving it.

tetsu explains how the car dealers were weird with him when he bought it. They asked if he was using a loan, and he said, no, cash. So, they asked "Wow what does your father do?" and he got mad at them like "IT'S MY MONEY!!"

After a little more "aaah! I wish T_T" from the others, we go to commercial.

Fanmail corner!

First letter : The girl writing says her boyfriend got accepted to university in Tokyo, but she'll be staying in Osaka, so they're going to try a long-distance relationship. However, she can't help but worry that he'll cheat. She knows its her own problem, but still. Plus, she doesn't like being alone and wants to have him around. She really likes him, but she's still worried. She asks if they think she should tell her boyfriend how worried she really is.

Joshima thinks Emi should handle this one, but she's never had a long-distance relationship before. Neither has Ai, so it's kinda hard to get a woman's opinion. Joshima has had that kind of relationship, but he's sure its different from a girl's point of view. Emi thinks that since he's going to University, he's sure to meet lots of new people, but then again so is the girlfriend...

Joshima figures it's certainly different now for long distances than it was back in his time. It's much easier to communicate. Emi thinks it would still be hard. She talks about how she met lots of guys when she started university, but then again she didn't date any of them. She did join some clubs though. So she talks about her university clubs for a bit.

Whe
